Fracture Case (CS2): Contents, Shattered Web Knives, Odds and Prices (2026)

The Fracture Case is a 2020 knife case with 17 weapon finishes, headed by the Desert Eagle | Printstream and AK-47 | Legion of Anubis, over a rare pool of 52 knives in four Shattered Web models. It cost $0.55 (cheapest Steam Market listing) on 10 October 2026, and whether it still drops is the one thing the trackers cannot agree on.
This page is for players pricing a Printstream or a Paracord, collectors checking the case's status, and anyone who read that Fracture is a "good case to open". We document contents and dated prices; we do not recommend opening it, and the cost chart below shows why.

The four knives: Nomad, Skeleton, Survival and Paracord
These four models debuted with Operation Shattered Web in November 2019, when Valve added four new knife models to the game. The Fracture Case reuses that pool. Each model comes in 13 versions: the plain vanilla knife plus Blue Steel, Boreal Forest, Case Hardened, Crimson Web, Fade, Forest DDPAT, Night Stripe, Safari Mesh, Scorched, Slaughter, Stained and Urban Masked. There are no Doppler, Marble Fade or Tiger Tooth knives in this case.
The Skeleton is the premium model of the four. Its vanilla version listed at $215.72 against $50.39 for a vanilla Paracord and $54.84 for a vanilla Survival. At the top of the pool, the most expensive Fracture-pool knife listed that day was a Factory New Paracord Knife | Crimson Web at $1,258.96, a single listing rather than an agreed price.
Because this is one of the cheapest knife pools to buy into, the gap between buying and unboxing is wider here than almost anywhere. If a Fracture knife is what you are after, choose the model, finish and float and buy it on a marketplace such as SkinBaron or DMarket, where float is shown on the listing.
Odds and expected cost per knife
The rate everyone quotes for a rare special item is 0.26%, one of five tier odds Valve disclosed for the game's Chinese version in 2017. Valve has not published them in English, but they are assumed to apply to every standard case. At $0.55 for the case and the US$2.49 key price players report, an opening costs about $3.04, and the long-run average to reach one knife is about $1,170.
Unlike glove cases, the Fracture pool can also produce StatTrak knives, because StatTrak applies to knives but not gloves. That adds to the spread of outcomes but not to the average return, which stays far below the cost of the openings.
Is the Fracture Case still in the drop pool?
Nobody outside Valve can say for certain, and the two trackers we read on 10 October 2026 disagree. SteamDB.com's drop-pool page, updated 2 July 2026, lists Fracture among six active weekly cases. Skinbase's weekly rotation leaves it out and lists five containers including two terminals. Valve's own update notes since 2025 name collections and terminals added to the Care Package, but never a list of weapon cases.
What the price suggests is modest. At $0.55 with 25,734 sold in a day, Fracture trades like a case with plenty of supply, but it costs more than the cases both trackers agree are active, such as Kilowatt at $0.15 and Revolution at $0.21. Until Valve says otherwise, treat any claim that Fracture is or is not dropping as tracker opinion.
Fracture or Shattered Web: same 52 knives
The community item database lists an identical rare pool for the Fracture Case and the Shattered Web Case: all 52 knives match, finish for finish. The two boxes differ in weapon finishes, price and how many trade. Here is what the same knife odds cost through each, using Steam lowest listings from 10 October 2026.
| # | Case | Released | Steam lowest | Sold, prior 24 h | Avg. spend per knife |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| #1 | Shattered Web Case | November 2019 | $5.57 | 412 | ≈ $3,100 |
| #2 | Fracture Case | August 2020 | $0.55 | 25,734 | ≈ $1,170 |
The Shattered Web Case is the scarcer object, trading at about ten times the Fracture price on under a sixtieth of the volume. That premium buys you a collectible container, not better odds, so nobody chasing a particular knife has a reason to prefer it. As with every average in this file, it assumes the US$2.49 key players report and the 0.26% rate.
Trade-ups from Fracture Coverts
Valve's 22 October 2025 update lets five Covert items be exchanged for a knife from the collection of any one of the inputs; five StatTrak Coverts produce a StatTrak knife. For this case, five Fracture Coverts become one of the 52 Shattered Web knives in the Fracture collection. The cheapest Covert we found, a Battle-Scarred AK-47 | Legion of Anubis, listed at $27.90, so the cheapest regular contract costs about $140.
That is more than three times the $41.32 knife floor, and Valve publishes neither the chance of each knife nor how the output float is set. Community tools estimate both. Treat their results as estimates.
Edge cases
A few details catch buyers out. Shattered Web knives also come from the Shattered Web Case itself, which listed at $5.57 on Steam the same day, so a Fracture-pool knife is not unique to this box. The 2025 Fever Case uses the same four models but a different set of finishes, including Doppler, Marble Fade and Tiger Tooth, so its knives are not the Fracture 52. And Steam trades can be reversed for seven days under Valve's Trade Protection, so sellers on peer-to-peer sites are often paid a week after the trade. More context lives in the CS2 case catalogue and knife and glove odds.
